Garden City, MI October 12, 2009— Phlebotomy Career Training LLC, a division of Michigan Institute of Health Careers has received accreditation from the National Healthcareer Association.

Phlebotomy Career Training LLC has officially become recognized by the National Healthcareer Association and has received approval for their Phlebotomy Technician Program. This prestigious recognition will help students achieve the necessary certification needed to obtain positions in various health care settings. The competition for qualified phlebotomy positions is fierce, especially in the state of Michigan. Accreditation from the NHA will give the students the edge that they need in the job market. Students will be taking their first certifying exam in November.

The students are very excited that they will receive a certification as a Phlebotomy Technician. The NHC has strict guidelines as to the qualifications necessary for a school to obtain certification. The Phlebotomy Technician Program at Phlebotomy Career Training LLC, in Garden City, Michigan has met all of the NHC’s qualifications and more. At Phlebotomy Career Training LLC, those students graduating from the Phlebotomy Technician program are assisted with job placement in the Metro Detroit Area Hospitals and surrounding clinics. With the certification from the NHC, job placement is expected to increase.

National Healthcareer Association has many prestigious approvals from government agencies on education as well as state and local governing bodies on specific curriculum regarding health career education. Some of the nations educational governing bodies that have endorsed the NHC include; Michigan, DLEG Career Education Consumer Report, National Organization of Competency Assurance, (NOCA) Washington, D.C., New York City Department of Education, All U.S. Military Services through Department of Defense’s DANTES (Defense Activity Non-Traditional Education Support), California Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services, (Phlebotomy Certification) and the Ohio Department of Education Healthcareer Certification.

Phlebotomy Career Training shares the same vision as the NHC, which is to promote quality patient care through the education and training of caring compassionate individuals who are aware of the serious nature of their position in the health care field. Students are trained on the principals of medicine which helps them to critically think in stressful situations placing the patients comfort and safety at the forefront of their goals.
